UM Change Community Meeting times for 2015

Post date: Dec 12, 2014 7:34:11 PM

Upstate South Carolina - As we celebrate the holidays and the start of 2015, Upstate Monarchs' Leadership has been discussing some changes to our meeting times for our Community Meetings in Anderson and Greenville.

We have received many requests to consider a different day than our traditional Wednesday times because of the common practice of Local Churches have prayer and group meetings on Wednesday. This past November, we have decided to move forward with a change for 2015.

Starting in February 2015, we will move the Greenville Community Meeting day to the First Monday of the month and the Anderson Community Meeting to the Second Thursday of the month. Hopefully, this will make it easier for our communities to attend the support meetings and participate with our speakers and other members. Meeting times for both meetings will remain the same for now.

The first two meetings in February will be as follows:

5:00 PM, February 5th

Greenville Community Meeting

Community Room, Earth Fare Plaza

3620 Pelham Road, Greenville, SC 29609

6:00 PM, February 12th

Anderson Community Meeting

Cancer Association of Anderson (CAA)

215 E. Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621

Speakers will be announced at a later date.

We will continue our practice to take summer (July & August) and winter breaks (January) from Community Meetings during the year. We will have an Annual Holiday Mixer again in December in place of the Greenville Community Meeting, where we will invite past speakers as well as members to attend. The Full 2015 Schedule will be posted on the Speaker Schedule Page on this website. The current page has the first Quarter 2015 meeting schedule posted.

Again, we hope the changes will offer a more convenient set of options for our members and speakers. Let us know what you think. You can contact us at contact@upstatemonarchs.org or by calling at (864) 214-6006.

We wish you the Happiest of Holidays and we look forward to seeing you at a local Community meeting in 2015.

Happy New Year from Upstate Monarchs!
